The purpose of the job: Key Business Partner to our Commercial team providing support to drive financial and business performance and supporting Finance Manager where necessary.

Reporting to Finance Manager – East Africa, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Planning, budgeting and forecasting. Leading the business planning cycle processes and reporting working in conjunction with the various functional teams.
Business Performance management. Monitoring business performance, provide decision making support and challenging commercial teams where necessary.
Finance back office support. Assist with the management of the back office activities where necessary including tax compliance.
Process and control improvement Provide the necessary support to ensure compliance with group governance requirements to promote a strong internal control environment.

Requirements:
University degree. A Masters level qualification preferably in Finance will be an added advantage.
CPA or CIMA qualification.
6-8 experience in Finance preferably with experience in Controlling / Reporting function in a busy FMCG environment.
Knowledge in Financial operation processes, planning, accounting, regulations and local GAAP
Good understanding of ERP accounting systems (SAP or Oracle)
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, proactivity and drive for professional development for self and others
Excellent Microsoft office working skills
AP, AR and Treasury experience an added advantage.
