General Manager – Hotel Industry – G&V

Growth and Value Consulting is a Financial and Management Consulting company in Kenya. G & V represents a client; Catering services ltd T/A Impala Hotel who seeks to recruit a General Manager.

Reporting to the Board of Directors through the Management Committee, the General Manager will supervise all departmental and sectional heads.

The Job
The General Manager will;
Coordinate all operations activities for the business to ensure a smooth operation.
Oversee and ensure exemplary customer experience to all customers in the facility.
Lead and manage the customer service team.
Be point of contact with all legal entities.
Ensure optimal regulatory compliance.
Ensure implementation of strategic directives approved by the board.
Monitor financial reports on a daily basis to ensure financial health of the company.
Coordinating sales activities in the company and leading the customer service team to achieve sales targets
Oversee efficient food and beverage service.
Coordinate all human resources activities and matters arising in the company.
Technical competencies
A degree/ diploma in Hotel management
A certificate/Diploma in business administration will be an added advantage.
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Experience in an establishment with rooms and restaurant is mandatory.

The General Manager will be;
A person with exhibited good leadership skills.
A proactive lead with exceptional problem solving skills.
A person with good interpersonal skills to relate well to customers, staff and any other stakeholders they may interact with from time to time.
