Our client is a high end hotel based in Nairobi. They seek to hire a Sales Account Manager who will serve as the primary business contact for the clients and be responsible for client satisfaction.
Job Purpose: The sales account manager is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent clients’ needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality and efficiency.
In addition, the sales account manager should build relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a portfolio of accounts
Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue.
Reviewing all major deliverables (i.e. strategic brief, function spec, tech spec, etc.) to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met.
Builds customer base by meeting with potential clients and educating them on the services
Using an existing network of industry contacts to generate new business
Pursuing opportunities for account growth and new business and engaging new clients aiming to generate new business
Ensuring that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, the management of any problems that may arise.
Working closely with other team in order to maintain a continuous knowledge of accounts status in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the account.
Ownership of the contract and contract renewals for new work for an existing client.
Approving Change Orders and invoices, and been responsible for payment collections.
Ensuring that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and that projects are profitable.
Communicating the client’s goals and representing the client’s interests to the team.
Understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicates all offerings to the client.
Providing regular input on all account activity, including status and call reports on a weekly basis.
Skills and experience requirement
Degree holder preferably in hospitality management or sales and marketing
Proven Account Management skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships
Minimum 3 years of Account/sales management experience
Extremely detail oriented
Technical competence (understand software, hardware, networks, etc)
Motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator
High level of initiative and work well in a team environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well
Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction
