Overall Responsibility: Act as the team leader for HR, Finance & Administration department of GROOTS Kenya
Human Resource
In consultation with the ED provide leadership in the recruitment and contracting of staff and consultants required.
Manage and supervise the human resource team in all Post-Contracting aspects including, performance, appraisals, leave, payroll, timesheets and staff logbook
Organize and lead regular staff meetings
Prepare management HR Reports on a quarterly basis for board review.
Be the custodian and leader in the implementation of GROOTS Kenya HR, Finance and Administration policies
\Finance
Manage all donor contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions of the partnership
Review all finance transaction for correctness
Commission, supervise and facilitate all project and statutory audits
Review all donor financial reports and ensure they are submitted before deadlines
Review and approve all monthly banking reconciliations
Prepare quarterly management financial reports for board review
Provide overall supervision to the accounts department and staff
Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements
Manage and advise the ED on financial risk management
Administration
Act as the lead custodian and oversee management of all office assets
Provide overall supervision to the administration department and staff
Represent the ED in meeting as assigned
Start date: March 2018
Reporting to: Executive Director
Qualification:
Experience in HR, Finance management & Administration
CPA graduate and a Bachelors degree in related field
A clear understanding of the Kenyan labour laws & practice
At least over 5 years working experience
