Islamic Relief Worldwide is an international humanitarian organization working in more than 40 countries in the world.
Islamic Relief Kenya is seeking a qualified, experienced and committed full time consultant to conduct Human Resources Audit. Some of the key areas but not limited to are as below;
• Make an audit plan and share it with CD before conducting. This should include audit Questions/check list
• Produce HR Audit report
• Make a list of all polices IRK should have, check if all of these are present and if these are in line with IR worldwide HR policies. Check if they are up-to-date?
• What documentation in HR are required by law, is IRK compliant to them.
• Check personal files and assess their validity as per labor law and HR manual requirement.(Employment record, recruitment documents, contracts etc)
• What are current existing HR systems and procedures and are these up to date?
• Conduct a training for HR staff in particular and other staff in general on HR policies and procedures
• Check if all health and safety procedures are followed.
• Policies on compensation and benefits, harassment, performance management etc exists and are up to date.
• Human resource development, is it happening? If not why not?
• Any other duties as assigned by the Country Director during the assignment period.
• Review Recruitment and exit process and suggest improvements.
Qualifications and Experience:
Generalist HR experience of 5-10 years
HR Audit experience of 3 years
Master in HR or relevant education
INGO experience of 3 Years + is preferable
Legally able to work in Kenya
Time Frame:
The consultancy is spread over three months starting from: November 2017 to January 2018
Salary:
A fixed monthly salary will be offered to quailed candidate inclusive of taxes and other statutory deductions.
