Scope of Responsibilities:
The Arts Centre Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the ISK Arts Centre, with a strong emphasis on sound, lighting, and technology. They are in charge of ensuring close and effective communication with all parties (Principals, CAD Coordinator, Creative Arts Supervisor, Arts Centre Assistant, CAD HOD, etc). This person is responsible for overseeing, organizing, and managing systems for the use of CAD related spaces, materials, resources, and the technical aspect for events
Specific Responsibilities:
Provide technical support – lighting, sound, audiovisual as needed for school functions in and out of school in analogue and digital environments.
Lights, sounds, projections: set up, running, and troubleshooting as needed
Rehanging, focussing, patching, etc. lights
Working alongside teachers to look at scripts & offer advice in regard to lighting / sound for events, productions, and performances
Set up of equipment for classes / events / productions
Serve as the primary liaison and first point of contact with Operations, Functions, Advancement Office, etc. for all school and nonschool events, in particular supporting sound and light technology. This includes drama productions (set builds and strikes, etc), as well as other events such as International Day, PTO events, Advancement Office events, etc. This work will be supported in collaboration with the Arts Centre Assistant, especially for events that include the music and art departments, where the Arts Centre Assistant may take lead.
Be the first contact by outside groups wishing to rent part of the Arts Centre facility. Coordinate with the Advancement office to ensure correct payments are made for the facilities.
Develop the Arts Centre Facilities budget and manage orders for the Arts facilities (Auditorium, Black Box Theatre, etc.) in collaboration with CAD teachers.
Collaborating with the CAD Coordinator regarding visioning and developing the strategic technical road map for the Black Box Theatre and the Auditorium to ensure ISK has high quality equipment and facilities.
Support an updated inventory of technical and other equipment. Identify, follow up, maintain, repair, and replace items as needed. Support the updating and maintenance of a
Support successful events, and oversee protocols and procedures associated with the usage of ISK Arts Centre facilities.
Instruct students, where appropriate, in the operation of the technical systems.
Performing other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the supervisor.

Diploma or higher qualification in the arts.
