Assistant Human Resource Manager – Nairobi – Flexi Personnel Ltd

Our client currently operates more than 140 hypermarkets and supermarkets in over 15 countries with more than 25,000 employees from 70 nationalities.

They are seeking to recruit an Assistant Human Resource Manager

Roles
Design job descriptions in liaison with hiring manager and ensure the necessary pre-recruitment approvals.
Ensure vacant positions are analyzed and advertised both internally and externally.
Plan and coordinate internal and external recruitment activities, advising on appropriate selection criteria and process.
Manage staff transitions including transfers, promotions and exits.
Process offer letters and contracts for all successful candidates in liaison with HR Manager
Conduct reference checks for all successful candidates
Facilitate onboarding for new staff in liaison with other departmental representatives
Carry out training for staff and managers on staffing related processes.
Establishes and maintains department records and reports.
Handle and represent the company in matters relating to external agencies.
Ensure timely communication of information across the organization.
Monitor and review the communication process.
Support teams in coordinating their activities to accomplish their targets.

Required Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management
Four years or more in human resource experience
Excellent computer skills
Experience of dealing with senior management
Ability to represent the Human Resource function as part of the bigger business picture
Strong understanding of employment law
A professional and commercial approach to Human Resource
