Description
Perform housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain building
cleanliness.
Responsibilities
Constantly performing physical bending, lifting, crawling, climbing, and stooping, in order to complete cleaning and repairs.
Sweep and mop all production area floors, rest rooms, and break areas.
Utilize floor scrubber when needed and dispose of waste correctly. Empty all trash cans, replace with liners, and take trash to compactor.
Clean rest rooms. Replenish restroom and kitchenette supplies.
Clean ceiling tiles as needed. Clean windows, inside. Clean light fixtures.
Clean break area appliances (microwaves and refrigerators) Clean and disinfect water fountains.
Wipe down lockers, rest room, break room walls, doors and any flat surfaces that may gather dust
Assist in verifying the complete, accurate and proper performance of all utility functions, including documentation/ assigned work orders to ensure compliance with CGMP’s, and ISO 9001, MDD, EN46001, production and corporate standards.
Assist in initiating further actions regarding the disposition of any component, process or method that does not meet production or corporate standards of quality, efficiency, or safety.
Perform and document any investigation regarding the disposition of any non-conforming process or component, and its effects on products manufactured and distributed by King Systems Corporation and relay results to the appropriate personnel.
Communicate to the appropriate personnel, any problem, idea, or solution which pertains to the Utilities Department and/or its interaction with other departments.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and personal protective equipment needed to perform assigned task.
Assist in the setup and removal of any supplies, materials, trash, etc. needed for Company gatherings
Understand and complete the assigned task and complete all necessary documentation
Carry out assignment rotation, with movement from one work station to another.
Standing and walking for long periods of time, work in various areas.
Perform verbal and written communication with various employees and supervisors within and outside of Utilities Department.
Perform written documentation in compliance with document control procedures.
With proper ventilation equipment in place and safety equipment provided, perform cleaning of assembly area tables and other surfaces with various chemicals.
Operate or work around mechanically and/or electronically controlled equipment with moderate noise levels.
Perform work in elevated locations.
With lifting requirements of up to 50 pounds, complete cleaning assignments.
By visual review, ensure the cleanliness of all assigned areas.
Work in area of extreme temperature, as needed.
Perform assigned duties complete, accurate and in a timely matter.
Requirements
Previous experience performing cleaning duties in a manufacturing facility
Work weekends
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to speak effectively in a team setting.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to stand, and walk for eight hour period.
Ability to perform continual bending and stooping.
Ability to read and understand cleaning instructions and information.
Ability to understand and follow MSDS instructions.
