Our client one of the leading suppliers of home electrical appliances manufacturer is currently seeking to fill the above position in Nairobi
Duties and Responsibilities
Going to market to :
Check on stock positioning and levels comparing to competition
Analyze displays and recommend improvements
Check on competitor activities and compile reports on the same
Check FSM product knowledge and conduct basic on ground training
Ensuring promotions are implemented and special displays created
Following up on any issues raised in marketing meetings with action plan and completion deadlines
Ensuring full product knowledge of category
Creating and updating training materials
Assisting in conducting regular product trainings
Assisting in coordination of any events/exhibitions
Gathering competitor product information and compiling detailed comparisons
Assisting with Market survey reports
Analyzing distribution channel sales data and providing detailed reports on the same
Advice the sales team on stock situations as and when required.
Assisting in Design and production of marketing materials (POP, Ads, posters, Catalogues etc.)
Keeping a master copy of all marketing activities including scans of materials and invoices.
Maintaining a database of all competitor marketing activities and communication.
Keeping track of all marketing proposals received
Answer any queries from the dealers on phone
Sending quotations to prospective clients
Follow up on any service issues from dealers
Ensuring website listing of products is active and accurate; social marketing for relevant product category
Assist with other activities when required
Qualifications
Over 5 years’ experience in sales
Previous experience in a product management role is an added advantage
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
Excellent leadership skills
Organizational, research and time-management skills
Technology savvy
Business acumen
