POSITION SUMMARY
Data analyst will report to MEAL Manager and will be responsible for project level activities in relation to MEAL data management and analysis. Working closely with Lower Juba project teams and the Optimizing Cash-based Interventions for Enhanced Protection from Gender-Based Violence (OCEPGBV) project’s MEAL officer, he will support the OCEPGBV project monitoring and evaluation by providing and managing databases and undertaking some project data analysis. The role involves providing technical support on design and review of thematic survey forms, data processing tools, management of data entry and validation, management of OCEPGBV project MIS and tracking project data using quantitative and qualitative data analysis basics.

SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support processing of different OCEPGBV Project data sets related to assessments, baselines, activity progress and performance tracking and other monitoring and evaluation related data analysis.
• Support PDQU level M&E team in devising appropriate data management tools and provide technical support to enhance data synthesis for use in OCEPGBV project reporting.
• Support development of OCEPGBV databases using available software’s for data quality assessment to determine the validity, reliability and integrity of performance data gathered to monitor project performance.
• Support the OCEPGBV project teams with MEAL data collection, entry, validation and storage processes.
• Help develop appropriate data management templates and formats for OCEPGBV project activities and support project partners on data management systems.
• Help with beneficiary accountability database management.
• Update data templates for the OCEPGBV project in coordination with MEAL team.
• Respond to internal OCEPGBV Project data requests for reporting needs from project staff and WRC team.
• Other related functions as assigned by line manager.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Monitoring And Evaluation, Business Administration Or Computer Science, with relevant experience as a data analyst in emergency or development sector.
• Pursuant of a graduate degree in relation to gender mainstreaming with knowledge of, and experience in data analysis using STATA, R, SPSS, EXCEL in lieu of the above qualifications.
• Experience on project monitoring and evaluation with special emphasis on data management including data collection, analysis and storage.
• Strong STATA, R, SPSS, EXCEL skills and expertise in data management statistical software.
• Good knowledge of computer hardware and software, and readiness to learn new software.
