Mechanical Workshop Technician – Nairobi – Kenya Civil Aviation Authority

Reports To: Registrar – Academic

Job Purpose: To ensure the laboratory is adequately prepared for course delivery.

Scope of Work / Duties / Responsibilities
Service and maintain the laboratory equipment in good working conditions (training simulators for Air Traffic Control, computers, audio-visual equipment, etc)
Set up the laboratory for training according to the requirements of course being taught
Perform inventory of equipment
Perform minor trouble-shooting on computer application, e.g., the ATS application
Assist students with the use of equipment in the laboratory

Qualifications
A diploma in Mechanical Technology Engineering

Experience
5 years’ experience as an operator of mechanical workshop machines
Knowledge and Skills
A good understanding of the applications and the platform used in the training simulators
Basic understanding of the different set ups for the laboratory based on the course requirements.
