Job Summary
The Production Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process of PVC pipes. This role involves designing, implementing, and improving production processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
The Production Engineer will work closely with the production team to troubleshoot issues, optimize production schedules, and maintain equipment. Additionally, he/she will be involved in product testing, quality control, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
Creating production schedules and plans to meet the required output targets while ensuring optimal utilization of resources and minimizing downtime.
Continuously improving production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
Implementing quality control procedures to ensure that PVC pipes meet the required standards and specifications.
Overseeing the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production.
Coordinating with the procurement team to ensure an adequate supply of raw materials and other production inputs.
Enforcing safety guidelines and promoting a safe working environment for all production personnel.
Identifying and resolving production issues, equipment malfunctions, and process inefficiencies.
Collecting and analyzing production data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential bottlenecks.
Monitoring production costs and working to reduce expenses while maintaining product quality
Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to production processes, quality control, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
A degree in Mechanical/ Plant /Electrical engineering or a relevant field
At least 3 years of experience in PVC Pipes Industry
Possess a strong understanding of PVC pipe manufacturing processes.
Ability to analyze a complex problem, find root cause, and implement effective solutions to minimize disruptions in production.
Additional training and certifications related to PVC pipe manufacturing, quality control, and safety protocols will be an added advantage
Awareness of industry regulations and standards related to PVC pipe manufacturing safety
