Sightsavers, seeks to recruit an experienced, self-driven, dynamic and results-oriented Technical Adviser to support its Trachoma Elimination Program.
Reporting to the Global Behaviour Change WASH Adviser, the incumbent will provide coordination, advisory and technical support to all phases of the Super School of Five program under The Trust and DFID funded trachoma elimination programmes.
The Technical Advisor will also work with Unilever partners to ensure coordinated and on time delivery of materials for all relevant aspects of the programme.
The successful candidate will be required to:
Support the development of a scale up plan for 3 other countries in the next 6 months
Support and advise on the roll out of the School of 5 Programme to the scale up countries
Represent Sightsavers in their relationship with Unilever on the ground
Advise on and coordinate adaptations to materials required for roll out in other countries
Advise and support the Coordinating Partner in liaising with the relevant ministries in each of the countries
The ideal candidate will be a Kenyan national who possesses:
A Higher degree in public health or development
Ability to think strategically and develop effective action plans.
Good communication and influencing skills.
Ability to represent the organisation at external bodies.
Able to travel overseas for up to 40% of their time.
An understanding of and commitment to equality of opportunity for disabled people.
