Technical Sales Executive(PSD) – Simba Corporation Limited – Nairobi

Purpose:
Develop and increase sales business by targeting corporate clients, institutional clients, construction companies in liaison with developers, consulting engineers, project managers, and contractors.

Primary Responsibilities
Reports To: Technical Sales Manager, Power Systems
Identify sales opportunities.
Build and maintain long client relationships with new existing businesses.
Meet profit targets and ensure sustainable growth.
Work and coordinate with other departments to ensure quality services required by customers are delivered.
Ensure that prospects are well managed and maintained throughout their life span.
Ensure that all procedures and documentation pertaining to any sales are duly completed.
Maintain an awareness of local market competition conditions and industry trends by conducting market analysis.
Visit prospects for unit sales.
Answer all phone calls and give out information as dictated by policy/procedure.
Track what prospects are saying about us and follow up after they have visited PS.
Shop competition through phone calls and visit on a regular basis.
Communicate to prospects in person, over the phone, and/or in writing the available units, service available, and terms of the lease.
Assist with the composition of newspaper advertisements.
Compile and update listings of prospects.
Any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in either mechanical, electrical, electronic, or mechatronics engineering.
Experience
3 to 5 years experience in a sales environment or hands-on installation, service, and maintenance of standby emergency power solutions. Professional license and registration in a professional body will be an added advantage.

Computer literacy- MS Office.
