ECLOF Kenya, an established and fast growing Christian Microfinance company seeks to recruit a highly competent candidate to fill in the above position;
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Providing general technical advice and offer expertise on legal issues
Support the maintenance of good corporate governance framework for the company.
Assist in development and implementation of strategic, sound, understandable and facilitative legal framework for the company.
Monitor compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Assist in interpretation and understanding of legal documents to the company.
Manage the relationships and work done by the company’s approved lawyers.
Guide the organization and monitor legal processes and proceedings instituted by external parties.
Manage the general conveyance process within the organization including purchases, sales, leases, tenancy agreements, surrenders, easements and licenses, legal drafts, contracts and any formal agreements.
Draw and accept court processes and take action as necessary.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from a reputable university
Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law
Must have a current advocate’s Practicing Certificate
Must be a Certified Public Secretary of Kenya — CPS
At least 3 years post qualification experience in a similar position in a busy financial/MFI environment
Be aged between 25-35 years
Must have MIS office skills
