Responsibilities
Specializing in the development of our products, working closely with colleagues to determine and build the architecture of new features and the future platform
Ensuring products are developed in a secure, scalable and maintainable manner
Being actively involved in issue analysis sessions, collaborating with the team to ensure that requirements are understood
Collaborating with the broader team to get things done when required
Striving to keep things simple (KISS)
Ensuring knowledge is shared across the development team
Model database architecture for performance and scalability
Develop appropriate APIs for related systems.
Collaborate with the team to realize an effective, scalable architecture for the platform.
Work with various software development tools (Amazon Web Services, TaskQueues, Nginx, uwsgi, Redis, )
Use and promote standard python coding conventions (PEP8, PEP257).
Participate in code reviews, automated, units, and functional testing.
Share knowledge with the company’s stakeholders with regard to newly developed features
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in building software with Python
1+ years of experience in building business-ready web apps with Django
BSc. Computer Science or a related field of computing
Demonstrable experience in building API driven software
Passion in building scalable enterprise systems.
Knowledge in SOLID principles
Knowledge in databases (transactional and analytical). Must have modeled database schemas for large-scale applications
Good grip on task scheduling and message queues such as RabbitMQ and Redis
Strong debugging, problem solving, and investigative skills.
Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages, etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems.
Comfort exploring the uncertain territory.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work effectively with different departments in pursuit of solutions.
Experience with version control, preferably Git.
Strong CS fundamentals – algorithms, database, and systems design.
Abilities
Ability to solve complex interactions and demonstrate a high level of critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a strong aptitude for translating requirements into visual concepts.

Bonus Qualifications
Experience in building service-oriented apps
Have experience in at least another web framework (MVC)
You have a background in scalable, secure SaaS applications
You have previous AWS / DevOps experience
You have previous experience working in an Agile environment
Knowledge of python data science toolkits is a plus
2+ years of experience working with big data
Knowledge in android development is a plus
