Capacity Building & Learning Lead – HPD Africa

Role Purpose: The CBL Lead will oversee all the development and delivery of the capacity development and learning programmes.

This will include, Capacity development of county administrations, city councils, NGOs and CSOs who may be involved in the programme.

Key Responsibilities:
Working with county governments and work streams leads, conduct capacity assessment to identify capacity building needs
Design and develop programmes to build the capacity of county authorities to improve their urban economic planning and business environment reforms management
Establish repositories and of information, and establish knowledge management tools – establish channels of knowledge dissemination
Oversee the delivery of the training, ensure quality training is delivered across the different areas of the programme.
Desired Competencies and Experience
Master’s Degree in Economics, International Development, International Business Administration, Education, Psychology or other relevant fields
Minimum 6 years of similar experience in programme based capacity building
Demonstrated capabilities in institutional capacity development, and experience in working effectively with county governments.
Demonstrated capabilities in methodologies appropriate to complex change processes and capacity development.
Proven ability to develop and communicate a common vision among diverse partners and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication skills in English.
