Duties and Responsibilities
Establishing market networks both locally and internationally;
Building a market data base for the vaccine products
Evaluating performance of products in the market;
Developing necessary interventions in order to sustain relevance of products in the market;
Developing sales and marketing strategies;
Undertaking market research surveys for products developed by the Institute;
Securing contracts with internal and external clients;
Developing business plans and strategies for marketing of products;
Determining product, price, and focused needs;
Preparation of annual work plans and budgets.
Liaising with the Legal Office on patenting and licensing;
Liaising with other service providers in the industry on marketing of vaccines products;
Supervise Staff;
Identifying marketing opportunities for products;
Drawing of policy documents on marketing.
Create, direct, and implement the Institute’s promotional programs to stimulate awareness and sales in particular market segments
Academic and Professional Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
A Master’s Degree in Business administration or a relevant field
Professional Certification in marketing is an added advantage
Be registered member of a Professional Body (Marketing) with a valid membership
Five (5) Years work experience in marketing in a private enterprise.
Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 on Leadership and integrity.

A proven leader with very strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Experienced in all elements of the marketing mix
Experienced in social media marketing

Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills
High energy and enthusiastic
High tolerance to ambiguity.
Ability to understand changing market dynamics, translating them into actionable strategies to achieve the Institute’s objectives.
