Clinical Program Manager – Training Programs – Nairobi – International AIDS Research Organization

Responsibilities:
Work with senior staff to support the organization’s training efforts and clinical research throughout Africa, including:
Managing the implementation of degree and non-degree training activities with African clinical partners.
Monitor progress to ensure program objectives are met
Developing annual training plans
Developing project plans to monitor progress of training initiatives.
Ensure accuracy of budget forecasts for supported training programs and support annual budget process.

Performing activities associated with design, implementation, management and monitoring of research studies throughout Africa.

Qualifications:
BS/BA in a scientific, life sciences field, Professional Nurse (RN) or equivalent.
Advanced degree in nursing or other or a master’s degree in public health is desirable.
A BS/BA in program management or other business management degree can be considered in the presence of at least 5yrs experience working in the field of science or health research and experience with training programs.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manager role, developing, managing and coordinating research and/or training programs.
Specific experience with degree and non-degree training programs is an advantage.
Experience with HIV and/or vaccine clinical research trials, HIV related laboratory procedures, clinical safety laboratory testing desirable.
Proficiency in Good Clinical Practices (GCP), ICH guidelines and regulatory procedures.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
