Commercial Manager – Nairobi – Corporate Staffing Services

Our client is a communications consultancy offering corporate communication, stakeholder relationship management, media relations & coaching, crisis communication services besides addressing other communication challenges faced by varied organizations.

They seek to hire a dynamic and results oriented candidate to fill in the position of Commercial Manager.

Role Summary: He/ She will work closely with the General manager and Board of Directors to actively secure financial growth by setting and implementing strategic goals for the company.

He/she will be in charge of both identifying revenue-generating opportunities as well as managing key clients’ relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Define and develop the long-term strategic goals for business development in line with company’s overall strategic context
Identify new revenue-generating opportunities to bid for and acquire new projects
Analyze the progress of revenue-generation goals and make recommendations for adjustments/interventions as required
Identify opportunities to bid for and acquire new projects
Research and recommend future trends and opportunities for growth
Participate in proposal preparation as needed
Identify opportunities for both marketing and selling the company’s products and services
Actively negotiate and close deals for new contracts
Actively manage key relationship with existing and prospective clients
Work closely with partners, consultants and staff needed for the company’s service delivery
Provide overall project management for ongoing client assignments
Overseeing the office support and infrastructure to get revenue generating initiatives off the ground and maintained
Attending stakeholder meetings and forums as required

Skills and Qualifications Desired
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent and a higher diploma in sales or business management
5 years relevant experience in sales and marketing, 3 of which should be at a managerial position
Experience in the industry is key
Keen business sense and solid financing planning
Strategy development and implantation
Creative thinking to spot new opportunities and to establish rapid growth within new market
A deep understanding of marketing principles
Strong presentation and facilitation skills
Strong negotiations skills as well as communication and sales skills
