Duties and Responsibilities
Providing strategic leadership and management in the Corporate Planning matters, economic analysis, development planning, performance monitoring, evaluation and reporting and research development;
Coordinating development and review of the Authority’s Strategic Plan;
Developing and guiding implementation of the company’s annual work plan and performance contract;
Guiding preparation and implementation of divisional/departmental annual work plans and performance contracts and the strategic plan;
Coordinating preparation of performance progress reports, disseminating the reports and providing feedback to the implementing divisions/departments;
Guiding the development, implementation and review of relevant economic analysis models;
Coordinating administrative and staffing matters in the department
Any other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirement for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-
Served in the grade of Deputy Director, Policy and Planning for a minimum period of three (3) years or in a comparable and relevant position in public service or Private Sector.
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Economics, Statistics, Strategic Planning/Management, Planning/Management in related field from recognized institution
Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Economics, Economics and Statistics, Strategic Planning/Management or its equivalent from recognized institution
Membership with a relevant professional body
Attended a Project Management Course or related Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks;
Certificate in either Monitoring and Evaluation, Quality Assurance or any other related qualifications
Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution
In addition, all prospective candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of leadership and integrity as set out in Chapter six (6) of the constitution of Kenya and will be required to provide the documents listed and the academic and professional certificates during interview.
Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission clearance Certificate (EACC)
Kenya Revenue Authority Tax compliance Certificate (KRA)
Higher Education Loans Board clearance Certificate (HELB)
Certificate of Good Conduct from Criminal Investigation Department (CID)
Certificate from Credit Reference Bureau
