Key Duties:
Reporting to the Hotel directors the selected candidate’s role includes:
Oversight of all the department heads and operations of the Hotel including developing strategies to enhance operational and financial performance of the resort. This involves the preparation of a Strategic Plan that identifies ways to improve financial performance of the facility.
Promoting the Hotel to potential and existing clientele for more business and to be responsible for the property’s performance and overall management. To create and maintain a positive image of the Resort measured through repeat business.
Determine optimal workforce, recruitment and hiring of new staff, Training, Retention, Motivation and Supervision of Staff in all departments, develop and execute staff performance reviews, identify capacity gaps and develop plans to bridge those gaps
Ensure statutory compliance and effective management of key accounts and Prepare weekly and quarterly Hotel performance reports including weekly and monthly occupancy rates, quarterly costs versus revenue data and prepare a monthly financial reporting and justify deviations and differences
Ensuring guest complaints are handled promptly and professionally
Lead/chair weekly management and monthly staff meetings to address any issues, provide updates and ensure staff are highly motivated
Ensure adherence to the Occupational Health & Safety Act, HACCP, fire regulations and other legal requirements

Degree / Higher Diploma in Hotel Management from a recognized university
At least 5 years progressive relevant experience in hospitality with at least 2 years as the head of a department
Excellent written & spoken English, interpersonal skills and presentation skills
Proficiency in MS Office suite
Experience with several hotel operation systems
Skilful in project planning/ tasks and able to prioritize projects/ tasks.

Highly organized and efficient individual
Pro-active and result driven
Both team player and captain (hands-on)
Ability to create a vision and mobilize staff towards its achievement
Socially engaged, passionate, easy communicator, convincing and representative attitude
