Head of HR and Administration – Nairobi – Alliance Française

Specific Duties will include:
General HR administration including recruitment, employment contracts, compiling and updating employee records, performance evaluation
Provide professional support to line managers and employees on employee – related matters
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the technical and support staff
Provide administrative support to the senior management team
Attend Departmental and Board meetings including taking minutes
Coordinate procurement and general maintenance
Undertake other duties to ensure smooth and efficient running of the office

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in HR,
Diploma in HR management an added advantage
Excellent command of spoken and written English, good knowledge of French required
Excellent IT skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Knowledge of Kenyan labor legislation
Personal Qualities and Skills:
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
Ability to pay attention to details with a flexible attitude
Team Player able to take on new responsibilities
Pro-active and methodical and able to exercise discretion
Service oriented team player and able to work in a multi-cultural setting
High sense of integrity and professionalism

General Information: Full time – 40 hours per week – One-year renewable contract, 3 months probation period
