Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Head of Treasury will manage the treasury function and credit control and continuously resolve as well as improve the current accounting systems in addition to providing management with accurate financial information.

Key Responsibilities:
Managing and advising on long-term and short-term investment strategies;
Reviewing weekly and monthly performance of USL, highlighting areas of concern to management; and advising accordingly;
Managing all aspects of in-house investment portfolios;
Forecasting cash requirements and advising on investment of surplus funds;
Ensuring the completeness of revenue by comparing marketing statistics with financial information;
Reviewing and recommending changes to the investment policies based on the market conditions;
Approving payment requests and facilitating the processing of payments; and
Appraising staff, identifying their training needs and developing training programmes to enhance their skills.

Personal Specification
A fully qualified accountant with current membership to a professional accounting body;
Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university;
A minimum of 7 years working experience, at least 5 of which should be in a senior management and/or advisory role within Treasury function; and
Good knowledge and experience on all aspects of a financial institution, accounting and IFRS standards and legal points of view is required.
