Logistics Officer – Nairobi – International Medical Corps

Tasks and responsibilities:
Ensure that all procurements are managed, tracked and recorded.
Enforce proper use of procurement ceilings and approval procedures.
Follow up with project officers for full completion and certification of contracted works.
Follow up with vendors to ensure timely supply and delivery of goods, services and works.
Ensure the correct documentation of the asset movements on each field site is updated in Asset list and also responsible for quarterly physical asset inventory.
Prepare of monthly/quarterly reports by: updating inventory lists, stock report, and procurement tracking sheet and cargo movement and update the project on procurement status report.
Assist in acquisition and maintenance of transport services as per IMC policy and ensure that all hired fleet meet required safety standards before use by staff.
Plan in flight bookings of staff and cargo through UNHAS, EU and other commercial flight.
Carry out staff awareness on Logistics policies and procedures to fulfill IMC operational support.

Requirements:
University degree in Business Administration with specialization in supply chain management.
Minimum 3 years hands on experience in Logistics.
Ability to multi task, prioritize and meet deadline
Good understanding of general Logistics processes.
Conscious with an excellent sense of judgment.
Willingness and ability to work effectively with people of diverse background.
Computer skills – Proficient in Microsoft office.
