Specific Job Responsibilities:
Conduct quality checks on work performance.
Complete all finished job cards and return to the reception.
Accurately and neatly indicate work completed on the job card/ checklist.
Initiate proper paper work for vehicles repairs, and disperse according to workshop policy as required.
Perform scheduled maintenance.
Avail yourself on 24hrs call out for company vehicles break down.
Ensure of timely and accurate completion of repairs as per job cards.
Responsible for monitoring flow of work on your department.
Diagnose and repair vehicles brought to the workshop.
Maintain workshop equipment to ensure good working order.
Advice your manager of diagnosis and needed repairs of additional repair apart from the ones on the job card.
Accurately ordering of spares.
Keep your work area neat, clean, and organized and your tools safe and clean.
Wear proper protective gear according to the work you are doing.
Maintain cooperation relation with your managers/ supervisors and co-workers.
Keep a log of current work record in the daily allocation supervisor’s book.
Drive company vehicles adhering to the normal company policies and traffic act.
To perform any other duties as required by the managements
Education and Training Requirements:
The ideal candidate must possess the qualifications / competencies outlined below:
O-Level or its equivalent and above
Government Grade Test 1 and above in Bus mechanic.
5 years and above of experience in buses/trucks repairs and maintenance.
Valid certificate of good conduct.
Supervisory experience.
Able to work with minimum supervision
Be a team player
Have a valid license BCE.
Be able to test a vehicle and write report on the same.
