Duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will be stationed and be in-charge of the respective site.
His/her responsibilities shall among others entail the following:-
Provide outpatient services in the respective county.
Coordinate inpatient assessment and ward coverage of AMPATH patients.
Promote efficiency and high standards of medical and healthcare delivery.
Develop intervention programs, activities and improvement of health care services.
Provide clinical care, teach and mentor care providers.
Provide clinical oversight of clinical/nursing/laboratory staff.
Manage resources for optimum clinical operations within clinics.
Ensure quality assurance and control.
Any other duty as may be assigned by the Chief of Party/immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must:
Possess MBChB degree from a recognized university.
Be registered as a medical practitioner by the Medical Practitioners and Dentist’s Board.
Have more than one-year practical experience in a busy hospital.
Current experience with the Ministry of Health will be an added advantage.
Have excellent communication skills in English, Kiswahili and able to multitask.
Have good leadership/management skills.
Terms of Employment: The successful candidate will be employed on fixed-term appointment of two years contract with a competitive salary and allowances.
