Position main function:
The M&E Officer will support project planning, monitoring, and evaluation of FilmAid’s on ‘Communicating with Communities (CwC) activities in Kakuma Refugee Camp and share key lessons learnt in line with the organization’s Theory of Social Change. The M&E Officer will also conduct continuous research to identify program needs to improve program design and measure program impact.

Key roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 Prepare programme updates, reports and studies for response management and internal information sharing.
 Participate in the design and review of M&E systems and frameworks.
 Supervise FilmAid’s program data collection and management in accordance with the set minimum standards guidelines.
 Responsible for promoting organisational learning and adoption of good practise.
 Lead data management and analysis using KoboCollect, SPSS and Atlas.ti.
 Lead research activities including rapid needs assessments, baseline & end line surveys and formative assessment for internal and external audiences.

Required Qualifications and Experience

 Bachelor degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, or any relevant social science from a recognised institution.
 Additional training in M&E-related field will be an added advantage.
 Minimum 3 years experience in monitoring and evaluation of information communication projects.
 Experience in participatory research methods using quantitative and qualitative approaches
 Experience working with donor-funded INGOs, UN bodies.
 Knowledge in managing US, UNHCR and UK grant funding.
 Experience working with displaced and vulnerable human populations in insecure environments.

Skills and Competencies
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to use quantitative and qualitative data analysis software
 Strong workshop facilitation, communication and report writing skills
 Undertaken Sphere, CHS or relevant humanitarian and accountability standards training
 Hands-on and detail-oriented
 Proactive and adaptive to new work environments
