1.0 INTRODUCTION
I Choose Life – Africa (ICL) is a leading Kenyan NGO registered in 2004. ICL works using the Quadra Helix Model of partnering with the Government of Kenya, through the Ministries of Health, Education, Agriculture, Youth Affairs and Vision 2030 among others, Corporates, Universities and Civil Society Organisations, to design interventions to solve problems in different communities. ICL has programs around four pillars namely Jiimarishe (Health), Jiinue (Economic Empowerment), Jielimishe (Education), Jiongoze (leadership and Governance) . The programs are anchored in over 234 learning institutions (Primary, Secondary and tertiary institutions) across 23 Counties in Kenya that reach over 1 Million youth annually.

2.0 OVERALL PURPOSE
I Choose Life – Africa is seeking to engage a Health Insurance Service Provider to provide a Health Insurance cover for our staff.
3.0 SCOPE OF WORK
Specifically, the service provider will provide;
a) Medical cover inpatient
b) Medical cover outpatient schedule
c) Medical cover, optional/additional benefits cover
d) Underwriting by preparing medical cards
e) Claim reimbursements
f) Provide utilization reports on monthly basis
g) On call support to staff in case of an emergency
h) Hold periodic (Quarterly) health sensitization meetings for ICL staff
4.0 DELIVERABLES
The key output includes:
a) Provide medical cover for staff and their dependents to a maximum of 4 (M+4)
b) Provide additional/optional benefits to staff including but not limited to
o Maternity cover,
o Optical,
o Dental,
o Last respect, among others
c) Sensitize ICL staff on the Insurance medical scheme
i) Detailed process of claim reimbursements
d) Detailed process of preparing medical cards for staff and beneficiries
e) Provide monthly reports on medical utilization
5.0 EOI PROPOSAL
Agencies or service providers interested in tendering for the I Choose Life – Africa Expression of Interest for the Provision of Health Insurance Services should submit the following information:
a) Short summary of individual/agency and status
b) Submit a quotation for inpatient
c) Submit a quotation for outpatient
d) Submit a quotation for additional benefits
e) Name of 2 main persons who will be our main contract persons.
f) Contact details and 2 references related to the past relevant work done.
6.0 TIME FRAME
Start Date 1st June 2017 to 31st May 2018
