Royal Media Services Limited is seeking to recruit a highly qualified person for the above position.
The job holder will be responsible for the creation of wholesome entertainment content for the Company across all social media platforms.
He/she will promote all online and traditional platforms in a bid to grow the company’s market share & maximize revenue.
The Social Media Officer’s role will include the following:-
Cross-promote the company’s online & traditional product line
Conceptualize and execute online campaigns for various projects
Ensure all social media platforms are updated regularly
Advise supervisor on new trends in online tools, applications, channels, design & strategy
Liaise with digital sales officers to create campaigns that can be commercialized
Execute & monitor clients’ social media communication campaigns
Monitor campaign feedback & adjust or augment campaigns accordingly
Skills and Personal Attributes
Must have excellent communication and writing skills. Proof of writing materials a must
Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google+ YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques. Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues
Must have strong analytical skills
Understand Media Law and Media Ethics
Must be self driven, assertive, punctual and organized
Must be social media savvy, innovative and creative
Must be a team player, dynamic and able to work under demanding circumstances
The ideal candidate must have a working knowledge of online technology and online news best practices and an appreciation of the business processes, protocols and controls
Demonstrate professional approach and appearance including enthusiasm, drive, commitment, honesty, trust and loyalty
Keep abreast of evolving trends through continuing professional education in the area of digital platforms
Academic and professional Experience
University Graduate in Communication, Media, Public Relations or a related field from a recognized University.
Must have certification in computer studies.
Over 2 years experience working either as a journalist, marketer or a public relations officer in a media house; one of which must be in online journalism.
