Purpose of the Role: Deliver exceptional business support and performance by self and the Training team through effective planning and implementation of training programs, powerful leadership, team development and operational efficiency.
Activities Brief:
Key position activities include the following:
Liaising with & managing Franchisors training delivery expectations.
Designing, overseeing coordination, scheduling and conducting of training and development programs.
Preparing and developing instructional training resources.
Setting objectives for the Training team and managing outcomes.
Managing Delivery Consultants on training program facilitation & outcomes.
Monitoring and performing ongoing evaluation and assessment of training quality and effectiveness.
Reviewing and modifying training program content objectives, methods and course deliverables.
Gathering, investigating and researching background materials to gain an understanding of various subject matters and systems.
Providing management decision-making guidance on learning & development aspects that lead to the growth of the business.
Promoting internal and external training and development, and evaluating these promotional activities
Roles and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities and approximate weighting:
Leadership – 15%
Build, develop and motivate high performance team committed to achieving success through each other.
Support the COO and the organization at large in the management of the resource planning and utilization.
With the COO agree on challenging performance objectives and measures for direct reports and provide regular feedback and honest assessment on achievement.
Be a role model to the Training team, doing things wholeheartedly, communicating with passion, teamwork and embrace changes as a way of working.
Uphold integrity at all times.
Train guide and develop leadership, direction and pace to all Training staff in order to develop expertise and build capacity.
Ensure full compliance with the Raisers policies and procedures.
Strategic Planning, Management & Leadership – 30%
Ensure that the organization’s facilitation resource pool is adequately equipped through the recruitment of professional and experienced personnel.
Ensure proper resource planning for current & future projects/assignments including but not limited to Training support team, facilitators, materials, equipment and training facilities.
Ensure delivery of memorable training sessions by doing amongst other things:
Advance preparation of training packs, materials & equipment.
Prior briefing & preparation of facilitators.
Advance visiting of new training venues
Ensure “Success Stories” are done for all long term programs.
Continuously review the graduation process and add necessary grandeur.
Implement prudent planning measures for all resource management & institute replenishment thresholds including but not limited to:
Participant kits
Printing paper
Folders
Training materials & props management
Profile generation units
Formulate and perform necessary information analysis aimed at improving performance, enhancing service delivery and customer service including the following:
Participant attendance
Graduation analysis
Training evaluation analysis
Harness existing and create new competencies in order to achieve competitive advantage.
Conducting market intelligence of relevant industry forces impacting on the business and developing requisite proactive &response mechanisms.
People Management – 25%
Provide monthly training and facilitator schedules one month in advance.
Attend full training sessions facilitated by each of the facilitators in Kenya every month& provide guidance.
Provide prompt facilitator evaluation feedback after each training session to ensure improvement.
Hold facilitator re-certification and debrief sessions on a quarterly basis.
Have and maintain good rapport with all suppliers.
Plan for team energizing sessions for the Training team and facilitators.
Business Development – 10%
Continuously review program content to ensure relevance and competitiveness.
Review all training cost contributors with a view of achieving cost effectiveness at the best value.
Continuously assess new revenue avenues through the Department.
Customer Service and Support – 20%
Promptly perform thorough review of all call memos & request for clarifications within the same day.
Accompany Client Partners (CPs) to calls on a need basis to provide requisite support.
Perform periodic product briefing sessions for all CPs.
Provide proposals and other forms of responses within the set timelines in the respective SLAs.
Provide training outcome analysis to respective CPs.
Ensure compliance with SLAs with various parties including the following;
Business Development
Facilitators
Finance & Administration
Suppliers

Bachelors degree
Masters Degree will be an added advantage
Professional Qualifications (not mandatory):
Work Experience:
5 years working experience in a managerial capacity.
Experience in human capital development is an added advantage
