The workshop supervisor will head the workshop section of technical department and ensure all duties as assigned at the workshop are handled promptly according to the laid down procedures to the satisfaction of the client, and expectations of the company.

Job Purpose: To work as part of the Service department to carry out after sales support in terms of Servicing of Equipment, Projects Installation and Commissioning and carrying out tests of new electrical appliances.

Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered.
Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
Install and maintain electrical control systems and power back-up equipments.
Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations.
Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions, and record results.
Collaborate with electrical engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.
Troubleshoots and repair customer equipments; Inverters, Charge Controllers etc.
Performs preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation system and components
Ensures that systems are properly maintained and operating correctly
Completes service repairs, replacements, upgrades, adjustments and calibration on automation systems and components

Qualifications
Diploma/University Degree in Electrical Engineering – Electronics options.
At least 3 years’ experience as a technician in assembly and or field service technician
Very strong analytical and troubleshooting skills of electrical & mechanical systems
Knowledge in generator installation and maintenance will be an added advantage.
Aware of design tools and techniques and ability to use all hand tools
Good knowledge of Electrical and Electronic engineering.
Ability to read/understand and design Electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings.
Must have a valid driving license

Must be able to ride a motorbike
