Job Summary: The incumbent will be working majorly in the Hope Centre CCC – a PEPFAR funded project.
S/he will be responsible for technical direction and implementation of strategies and interventions, including on-going coaching and mentoring clinicians.
S/he will provide medical care for patients; attend to emergencies, take history, examine, diagnose, manage adverse effects due to medications and prescribe antiretroviral medications.
S/he will also maintain the medical quality and standards of the ARV treatment program, the PMTCT and TB programs and other HIV related care.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery.
Must have at least 2- 3 years of clinical practice in a CCC,
Must have training in at least one of the following:- Infectious diseases especially in HIV/AIDS, ART or TB, public health or tropical medicine.
Masters degree in medicine / public health / tropical medicine is a plus.
Good knowledge in other major areas of medicine like internal medicine, general surgery, Obs & Gyn is mandatory.
Must be duly registered with the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
