Lead, develop and manage country sales team to deliver on the overall growth of the business market share in Kenya.
Build a high level of brand awareness and reputation as first line logistics services contact for our clients.
Support the Chief Executive in the achievement of the Country’s profit and loss target through the achievement of the country sales targets.
The Head of Sales will also be responsible for developing and implementing KPIs for business planning, management and leadership of the Sales team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the national Sales strategy in alignment with the regional vertical market strategy.
Lead the Country’s business Development plan, design and implementation of new vertical businesses.
Managing national and bilateral route development for major origin focus areas and growing them to desired volumes.
Improve service delivery by identifying and satisfying client needs with ultimate objective of growing existing business and seizing new business opportunities.
Lead the business development function through coaching and motivating subordinates to improve in team and individual performance so as to realize the set targets and objectives of the National sales strategy.
Enhance collaboration between functional Heads to promote a unified business growth strategy and creation of transport and logistics solutions that meet customer needs.
Prepare a business Plan for field sales team to increase market share and deliver the growth strategy of the business taking cognizance of opportunities and market conditions.
Provide and enhance business intelligence through the establishment and development of a network with potential and existing customers or key accounts.
Increase confidence and the reputation of the business in respect of any and all stakeholders driving the brand awareness and loyalty.
Develop and establish relationships with internal teams such as operations and ensure seamless and quality service delivery to clients.
Ensure CRM system is managed and maintained by the sales and Marketing team.
Ensure that all activities in the area of responsibility are compliant with current legal and company regulations.
Qualifications / Skills;
Master’s degree in Sales and Marketing.
Minimum 10 – 15 years’ experience with a good Sales track record out which at least 5 years in Sales managerial and team leadership role.
Deep knowledge of local market service requirements and client network.
Knowledge of shipping lines/Airline services and competition activities.
Strong collaboration skills
Exceptional financial and process analytical skills.
Exceptional relationship management and communication skills.
Increased presence of the Company brand name in the Country.
Have a strong knowledge of the logistics industry customers and markets.
